Use the internet to find different forms of industrial action, find out their definitions and why they work. You also need a definition of collective bargaining.

Read the chapter on trade unions from the text book (they are on the shelves in the math/humanities room). Take notes on the definition of a trade union and the value of trade unions for both workers and businesses.
Find an example of recent trade union activity online. You need to research what has happened and be able to explain it to the rest of the class next week. You need to be able to explain who is involved, what are the issues being discussed, what are the expected outcomes, what the unions are planning to do.

Plan what staff you think would be most effective if you were running a souvenir shop in George Town.
